The Neolithic revolution

The end of the Ice Age plays a role in changing the worlds climates and releases water into the global environment in the form of melting ice. New rivers arise and landbridges and coastal lines become flooded.

In this period of changes, around 12.000 years ago, humans adopt agriculture as a method of food production for the first time. Nomadic hunter-gatherer humans now settled into (semi) permanant residence in one spot to cultivate their grains.
